The Journey The Journey On a frozen repute solar day in December, Eudora Welty, in her story A Worn Path, introduces us to an antiquated black woman named phoenix Jackson. She begins a desire and overweight journey through the timber and over the hills on her air into town. She talks to herself and the animals on the way. She pauses to bide on a put down and imagines a little male child handing her a cutting kill of marble cake. She encounters other obstacles along the way before arriver the clinic where the attendant hypothesises, ?A benevolence case, I suppose.? The journey is tough for Phoenix but she has come off for some ?soothing music? for her grandson?s throat.
